Below is a new sonnet, this time to do with healing, that is, apart from deliverance or resurrection. This is the first sonnet to do with healing, and is shown below. Do please feel free to comment on it if you so wish.
Royal Official’s Son
(John 4: 43-54)
Into Cana a second time, the Lord
Did come, but not unto a wedding feast;
A royal official, when he was given word
Came unto Jesus, and with heartfelt pleas
Begged him to heal his son, whereby the Lord
Rejected his request, preferring faith
O’er sight to be believed, His holy word
Sufficient for rebuttal of unfaith.
A second time he pleaded to the Lord
Who gave his word, the man straightway believed;
His son was to full health and strength restored,
Confirmed by later messages received
From his servants, healing had taken place
When the Lord had uttered His word of grace.
