At last, my new poem is uploaded for you to read. It is called “Drowning” and can be found in the Pastoral poems section on the website. It was written when I took part in a Quiet Day via Zoom, co-hosted by Jen Rees Larcombe and Carol Bostock who head up the Beauty From Ashes ministry in Hadlow, near Tonbridge in Kent. The day was also run in conjunction with the Divine Healing Ministry based in Northern Ireland, from where several participants joined in the event. The poem was inspired by an image shown of a man’s hand reaching into water and I took this to mean that the Lord, in His divine love, rescues us from all our feelings of being submerged in doubt, fear and despair. It is part of my personal testimony and may be part of yours too. I hope it speaks to you in some way. Do feel free to leave a comment if you would like to. Thank you. Peter.

As the letters after my surname would suggest, I am a member of a religious order; Third Order, Society of St. Francis. I am serving a second term of office on the Provincial Chapter of the Order, as Provincial Secretary and Trustee, my new six-year incumbency starting in February 2023. I have been a Tertiary Franciscan since my profession in 1996. As well as writing poetry, I enjoy the theatre, and have been a member of a local theatre company. I enjoy cricket too, and am a Life Member of Sussex County Cricket Club. I hope you will enjoy browsing over this site, and that you will find something to help you on your spiritual journey.
