I thought that I would add some humour to the Family Related section of the website, and simply rename it Family Related/Humour. I have added A Flight of Stars to the section, and now a silly poem, which will appear in two versions, will now be published. It is based on a humourous expression of Ken, my late Father-in-Law, which he used to drive his family to distraction! It stuck with me, so I made a poem out of it. The first verse contains nonsense which Ken used to repeat often. Enjoy………??!!
DIFFERENT SCHOOLS TOGETHER Ken, my late Father-in-Law And His Majesty, King George V Went to different schools together. They learned to spit on the blacking And also, chew bread for our ducks At different schools together. They learned to peel sprouts for our grandad And stir mother’s lumpy gravy At different schools together. And dear John, a late running friend He too once said he and his friends Went to different schools together. So yes, there is truth in it all People can, and most likely do Go to different schools together.
