Greetings everyone,
I am now in the throes of planning a new poem concerning the realm of Paradise. The poem will be based on Revelation Chapter 21, vv 1 – 5. I may well reflect on preceding and succeeding verses from Revelation too, and possibly verses from other books of the Bible. The poem will have a working title of “Paradise Restored.”
Bearing in mind the warning at the end of Revelation Chapter 22, the poem will not have any invented complementary verse, characterisation or speech to either amplify or reduce the original biblical text. It will, instead, be a largely reflective piece of work, as one might compose a sermon, thesis, dissertation or similar. As yet I have no idea as to it’s length, though I will probably stick with the iambic pentameter blank verse format.
That said, while embarking on what will be for me an exciting new venture, I may well write other verse in the meantime so as not to cause unnecessary delay in producing new work for publication on this site. Even with Christmas fast approaching, I will still be putting ideas on paper as a means of preparation for writing this new poem. Watch this space……….
