New poem for Pentecost

Greetings everyone. I have written a new poem for Pentecost, which will be on the site soon. It is called “Hearts On Fire” and was written today during a Quiet Day held with the Chemin Neuf Community at the Priory of Our Lady of England in Storrington, West Sussex, UK. It comprises of nine rhyming verses, a change from my favoured Iambic Pentameter blank verse format. I hope you will enjoy it.

As the letters after my surname would suggest, I am a member of a religious order; Third Order, Society of St. Francis. I am serving a second term of office on the Provincial Chapter of the Order, as Provincial Secretary and Trustee, my new six-year incumbency starting in February 2023. I have been a Tertiary Franciscan since my profession in 1996. As well as writing poetry, I enjoy the theatre, and have been a member of a local theatre company. I enjoy cricket too, and am a Life Member of Sussex County Cricket Club. I hope you will enjoy browsing over this site, and that you will find something to help you on your spiritual journey.
