River Nile
You once became,
A plague.
Turned to blood
No-one could drink,
From you.
No-one dared
to bathe or wash,
in you.
The fish died,
Your water stank,
Of death.
Yet Pharoah,
A ruthless king,
Remained.
River Nile,
Your putrid blood,
It failed.
Yet you were,
Still a part of,
God’s plan.
