Sonnets: Phenomena

I have called this section of the Sonnets “Phenomena” as, quite simply, they recall events that are beyond human intervention. Quite apart from healing and deliverance, which can be gifts imparted by God to whomsoever He chooses (and which He can take back at any time too), these miracles were signs beyond our capabilities. For instance, walking on the water, the calming of the storm, the denarius coin found in the mouth of a fish and so on.

There are 8 such miracles by Jesus recorded in the New Testament, 9 if you include the Resurrection. I have not included post-Resurrection appearances, except for the catch of fish recorded in John’s Gospel. That therefore makes it 10!

I hope you enjoy the sonnets. Please do feel free to offer any comments that you would like to make. Thank you.

Pax, Peter.
