Two pathways that lead
To different outcomes
A choice to be made
A banquet or crumbs.
The banquet symbolises life
The crumbs symbolise only death
Which pathway must we choose?
Do not be deceived
By the gate so wide
With its pathway broad
Destruction its bride.
No feasting here, but only crumbs
The falsehood of an easy way
Will only lead to death.
Eyes that cannot see,
Blinded by temptation
Thoughtless reverie,
Road to perdition.
Spiritual blindness authored by
The devil, through his schemes and lies
Hater of righteousness.
But the narrow gate
Leads unto a path
Constricted and hard
Yet of priceless worth.
What seems like crumbs along the way
Will, in due time, a banquet be
Of righteousness and peace.
Jesus commands us
To take His rough path
Of obedience
Faithfulness and truth.
To walk in love and sacrifice
And imitate His holy life
The path of salvation.
Here then are two gates
One narrow, one wide
Yet the choice is ours,
We must then decide
To choose the wide gate down to hell
Or the narrow gate to Paradise.
Which gateway will you choose?
