TRIDUUM – Part Two

This section deals with the issue of Jesus rendering Sheol and releasing all those held captive who have gone before the great act of salvation was made. We are unclear as to what actually happened in between Jesus’ death and resurrection, except that Jesus went and preached to the spirits in prison who died before the Flood in Noah’s time (1 Peter 3:19). My text in the Chapter “Sheol” (the Jewish notion of the underworld) is based around this, offering salvation to those spirits and indeed all who were held captive in Sheol up to that time.
