Prophecy

(based on Isaiah 7: 1 – 17)

A sign to Ahaz, King of Judah, from
Yahweh, a sign of reassurance that
Judah, from armies of King Rezin of
Aram and King Pekah, King of Israel
Would, in efforts to lay Judah to waste
Such efforts would fail in their avarice
And David’s line would be protected thus.
Isaiah the prophet spoke to Ahaz of
The sign from Yahweh to preserve the line
Of David was that a virgin would conceive
And bring forth a son called Immanuel,
“God with us.” In his early years, the land
Of Aram and Israel would deserted be.
Thus the Davidic line would be preserved
Yet solely not for that generation
But for all peoples born in future times
For their salvation. Yahweh’s hand would bless,
Preserve and keep them all from Satan’s wrath
In that his head would then be crushed by the
Obedience of the virgin to the will
Of Yahweh God, the antidote to Eve’s
Disobedience to Yahweh’s righteousness.
Mary immaculate, we, by your “Yes”
To Yahweh’s command now have salvation
From your Son, Jesus Lamb of God who died
Upon the cross yet resurrected was
On the third day by Yahweh’s mighty hand.
All hail, sweet maid, by your example we
Also must give our affirmations to
Yahweh, and receive from His righteous hands
Eternity in Paradise sublime.
May we, like you, hold fast to the true faith,
The only one by which salvation comes
To set us free from bondage to decay
And spend eternity in endless bliss.
