Regina Immaculata – Finale

All hail, most holy Queen, immaculate
Queen of all purity and holy love
Firstfruits of Yahweh’s gift of redemption
Most highly favoured in your mother’s womb
A virtue spotless, pure and critical
In that redemption of mankind would be
Accomplished by obedience which came
From fruit of lips yet deep within your heart.
New Eve, for our redemption, remedy
For disobedience in Eden fair
Which brought creation to its knees, in vain
Would it see purity as before the Fall
Yet hope was kindled through the prophecy
From the mouth of Isaiah to foretell
That from your womb the Saviour of the world
Would come to save mankind, sure sign and hope
Of all who put their faith and trust in Him.
You are the New Ark, for from you did come
The Messiah, who is the living Word for all
And living Bread by which all hunger would
Be satisfied eternally by Him
A priest forever in the Order of
Melchizedek, who offered bread and wine
To Abraham, holy father in faith.
No fitting vessel could there be for His
Nascence than one whose conception was made
Immaculate from the hand of Yahweh
In view of meritorious Godhead
That would be laid aside but for a while
In earth’s domain for proclamation of
The Kingdom of God, salvific mission.
In your lowly estate, you pondered all
Things in your heart immaculate, a place
Of heavenly treasure, in unity with
The sacred heart of Jesus, perfectly
Beating as one, never will severed be.
The work of the Messiah, now complete
Would see Him ascend back to Heaven’s heights
In glorious victory. Now we believe
You would take that same journey to Heaven
Assumed body and soul, for one so made
Immaculate cannot taste death but rise
To life immortal; holy, happy state!
As Jesus, Lamb of God, is seated at
The right hand of Yahweh, so you are sat
At the right hand of your beloved Son
Crowned Queen of Heaven, as was Bathsheba
Made Queen by her son Solomon. Hers was
A mortal crown which never can compare
With crown immortal, diadem most royal.
Most holy Mother, we on earth rejoice
In your obedience to Heaven’s call
To be the mother of the Lamb of God,
The Saviour who has freed us from our sins
Which scarlet were, but now as white as snow.
Pray that the church, with true discernment may
Heed words that fall from your immaculate lips
Performing such actions as will befit
Commands most holy to bring final peace
And harmony to this, our broken world.
May the Kingdom of God come upon us
His will be done forever, without end,
So with you and the saints we may at last
Take perfect rest and happiness and peace.
