Greetings everyone,
The eighth poem in the Regina Immaculata sequence of poems has now been uploaded. It is called “Coronation” and is a piece concerning Mary being crowned as Queen of Heaven. You may recall Solomon’s mother Bathsheba being the Queen of Israel at that time (see 1 Kings 2:19). This was because Solomon had numerous wives and they would all have been fighting for the crown! Therefore it was right and prudent for the King’s mother to be crowned Queen. In the same way, Jesus is our King so therefore the title of Queen should therefore naturally fall to Mary. It makes theological sense. Here is a link to the poem:
