New poem being thought through

Greetings everyone, I am now in the throes of working on a new poem, based on past local spiritual history close to where I live. It will be based on a site of what was once a Norman church in the South Downs hills, marked only now by a plaque to indicate this.

A project like this is something to really fire the imagination. I will see if I can put a photograph on the poem page, to show authenticity. Watch this space. Thank you.

As the letters after my surname would suggest, I am a member of a religious order; Third Order, Society of St. Francis. I served a second term of office on the Provincial Chapter of the Order, as Provincial Secretary and Trustee for three years and have since stood down. I have been a Tertiary Franciscan since my profession in 1996. As well as writing poetry, I enjoy the theatre, and have been a member of a local theatre company. I enjoy cricket too, and am a Life Member of Sussex County Cricket Club. In April 2026, after approximately one year on a "Discernment Pathway", I was received into the Roman Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil. It was such a joyous occasion, being supported by so many people at my Confirmation. Those memories will live with me forever. I hope you will enjoy browsing over this site, and that you will find something to help you on your spiritual journey.
